Cream Cheese Chicken Taquitos

  • Three (3) cups chicken, cooked and shredded
  • One (1) 6oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups Mexican Mix Cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup salsa 
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • Twelve (12) corn tortillas
  • Avocado oil for frying


  • In a medium bowl, mix chicken, softened cream cheese, cheese, salsa, sour cream, and cilantro well and set aside.
  • Build taquitos by placing several spoonsful of chicken mixture into one corn tortilla.  Repeat and place on a baking sheet, fold down.
  • Add 1/2 inch oil in a sauce pan and place on medium heat.
  • Once oil is hot, place pre-made taquitos into pan, using tongs. 
  • Cook until golden brown on both sides.
  • Set on paper towels to drain.
  • Serve warm with your favorite sides for dipping.  We used sour cream, salsa, guacamole.
