Peach Cobbler | Dutch Oven

Serves six (6) ppl.

Ingredients:

  • Fourteen (14) tbsp butter, sliced (total)
  • Two (2) 15.25oz canned peaches (in syrup)
  • One (1) 15.25oz yellow cake mix
  • Cinnamon, to taste
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional)

Directions:

  • Prep coals and place eight (8) of them directly below your Dutch oven
  • Melt six (6) tbsp butter on bottom of pan
  • Add two (2) cans of peaches (with syrup)
  • Sprinkle cinnamon on top, to taste
  • Place yellow cake mix on top (covering peaches entirely) Note:  Do not stir
  • Evenly top cake mix with eight (8) tbsp. sliced butter
  • Sprinkle additional cinnamon on top, to taste
  • Cover with Dutch oven lid
  • Place twelve (12) coals on top of lid (distribute evenly)
  • Cook for 45 minutes.  Turn Dutch oven lid twice, during cooking process, so coals cook each side evenly.
  • Serve warm.  Note:  We like to top ours with vanilla ice cream
