Hummus Ingedients:
- 1 1/2 cups of canned chickpeas (also called garbanzo beans)
- Two (2) garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- One (1) small lemon (or 2 tbsp)
- Olive oil, to garnish
- Smoked paprika, to garnish
- Parsley, to garnish
Directions:
- Open a can of chickpeas and pour both the chickpeas and juices in a bowl. Pull off the husk of each chickpea. Keep the juice handy.
- Dump your unhusked chickpeas, garlic cloves, tahini, salt, cumin and lemon juice in a food processor. While blending add olive oil and some of the remaining chickpea juices until you reach your desired consistency. (I like it super creamy)
- Place in a serving bowl. Run the tip of a spoon on top of the hummus in a spiral motion. Drizzle olive oil into the spiraled area and garnish with smoked paprika and chopped parsley.
