Pie Dough:

- 1 1/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour

- Two (2) tablespoons granulated sugar

- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt

- One (1) stick cold, unsalted butter

- Three (3) to four (4) tablespoons ice water

 

Crostada:

- One (1) pint fresh blackberries

- One (1) pound ripe plums

- 1/4 cup unbleached all-purpose flour

- Two (2) teaspoons fresh lemon juice  OR one (1) drop YL lemon essential oil

- 2/3 cup granulated sugar

- One (1) large egg, beaten

- One (1) tablespoon demerara OR sugar in the raw

- Aged balsamic vinegar, for serving (optional)

- Vanilla bean ice cream, for serving (optional)
